What about taking a higher view and considering a new perspective?
Whenever I am on an airplane I like sitting by the window, because every time I look down on the earth getting smaller I am even more impacted by how God sees us. However, God doesn't just see us from "space" because He is omniopotent and is with us, Immanuel (God with us) and is closer than a friend.
But I have been thinking a lot about how did God feel when for the first time in history, He saw "His son" being born as a man into a world which was so broken and fallen. His view is what I would like to focus on during this Christmas season.
When I saw my first son born into this world, Michael when we lived in Columbia, South Carolina, I was overwhelmed at the love and deep feelings of joy being able to experience everything. However, God had been with His son in heaven and now, He would be looking down on Him for the first time, with a new perspective, coming from a different view.
God Himself would have to wait while he grew... day after day for the one and only son of God, a boy named Jesus to grow up, to become a man and eventually begin communicating with Him in an intimate way. He would have to be so very patient. God would have to be so very longsuffering to just wait until His son would mature enough to begin normal commuications.
Can you imagine how excited He would be to finally hear from this one as he prayed to the Heavenly father after waiting for so very long? It would be absolutely amazing to consider Jesus finally realizing from being a maturing child and playing, into the reality of the role He would play connecting to the Heavenly Father. I'm sure when the overall "understanding" would have been an unreal point of supernatural connectivity.
My prayer for each of you during this Christmas, is for you to stop and consider your own "personal view" of Jesus during this season. Do you know Him and are you personally involved with His life? From a person like myself who has fallen, made mistakes, broken his laws and even rebelled to the point of embarrassment, I can tell you having a Savior like Jesus is my greatest joy and hope.
May this Christmas be filled with beauty beyond belief and as you pray for His leadership in your life, seeing Him in a new way is the ONLY way to live. If you don't know Christ as Savior, I believe He came for the whole world too. I pray you find His love at a local church, with a friend or through a concerned neighbor and ask Him into your life because you will never be the same again.
This would be a better Christmas from an improved view, one from your own heart.
May the Lord bless you and Merry Christmas dear friends...
All My Love,
Coach K Mac
