In the past two weeks, MERCER UNIVERSITY MENS BASKETBALL has joined our family in celebrating a week of Thanksgiving during the MUSIC CITY BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT in Nashville Tennessee. They won it all and went undefeated becoming the champions of this tournament and propelling their University into the TOP 25 Division 1 basketball teams in the nation. Here is a team of character and coach Hoffman, a man led by character and we are giving thanks to serve them and love them.
Over thirty years, our organization has worked with major publishers, motion picture companies and music companies and the legacy is continuing. We have been so thankful to connect with Dr. Don Nori, the founder of DESTINY IMAGE and also reconnect with Dr. Richard Tate of TATE PUBLISHING. Without these men of ideals and purpose, published works in the faith based industry would not be where it is today. How thankful we are to be in service to Godly purpose driven people groups.
We have asked for your prayers in helping pray for the future films we are to create and even today, God is opening new doors for us moving forward. In faith, we are stepping into a series of important strategic relationships, the beginning of a new company and finding the "right partners". Continue to pray for us in these endeavors so ALL of our dreams can be realized.
I'm especially thankful for these people, Sam Oni, Dr. Heng Lim, Jim Gromer, Darrel Campbell, Miles Hanon, Mark Johnson, Ronald Owen, Patrick Ingman, Mark Marshall, Scott Buzzell, Keith Walker, Don Brown, Peter Miranda, Clyde Rivers, Wendell Estep, Mark Hartman, Claude Thomas, Rick Thompson, Clint Chambers, Craig Groeschel, Randall Christy, John Dickey, Jimmy Kinnard, Monty Priest, John Kyle, David Barrow, Don Stephens and Dave Hanon who undergird our production and work in prayer.
Moreover, my small group who we have been meeting all during 2015 has been such a huge blessing to our lives giving us spiritual accountability and insight. Thank you for those dedicated to meeting on a regular basis for the purpose of talking about becoming better in our spiritual walk in every way.
Think how important our family's are during this time of year. Its the first holiday season without my mother present in the flesh on this earth. However, its also the first holiday season with my mother present with God and in heaven waiting on us to arrive there. The bitter sweet moments have often been difficult and challenging, but I am remembering her smile a a lot and asking the Lord to embrace her extra special in this first holiday together in the spiritual realm.
Yes, this is a season of thanks. Thank you Lynn for being incredible, for serving so many others and especially to our children. Thank you parents for ALWAYS being supportive in times when we really needed it. Thank you children for growing up to be the people of God you have become. Your lives mean the world to us and we pray for you every single day. Thank you friends for supporting us in every arena of life and undergirding our steps in prayer.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 reminds us to give thanks in all things (EVERY SITUATION) "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you". This means even to our enemies, even to the darkness and to the storms, we are giving thanks and recognizing, He alone conquered every storm. He alone can help us every moment.
Most of all, we thank you LORD for all the blessings we never dreamed possible. Thank you for understanding when we fail you, and yet, loving us in spite of our sins. Thank you for helping us through the really hard times and just know we believe YOU are in control of everything. You reminded us of your love when you sent Jesus to die on the cross for us and we celebrate this month (our chosen month) a time of the year to pay honor to the one we love the very most, our Yeshua, from most high places.
