Lorretta is currently battling cancer and has spent years developing a film (based on her book) to honor veterans and her parents, who are the inspiration for the film. 95% of the documentary has been completed, but another $50,000 is needed to complete this impactful project.

Lorretta Segars authored a book called SAND IN TUSCANY to honor her parents love story. Her father participated in the Italian WW2 campaign. He was a member of the 88th Infantry and while fighting for the Allied forces he met his sweetheart in Italy. Our film company traveled to Italy in 2018 to research the story and discovered much more to the story in terms of what happened to the 88th Infantry with regard to the Partisans in Italy to help the Allied Forces triumph.
