Veritas Mission Film Association
VERITAS MISSION FILM ASSOCIATION (VMFA) is a globally recognized 501(c)3 based in Columbia, Tennessee just South of Nashville. The team is led by film veterans, pastors dedicated to creating special programming, television series, feature films and documentaries. From real stories illuminating character with family and faith, the purpose is to bring hope into this world while helping others. Under the film leadership of Dr. Kevin McAfee VMFA has won over 200 film awards just in the last ten years. The team's combined artistry has been recognized from domestic and international film festivals.
BACKGROUND
VERITAS is the Latin word for "truth". Under the leadership of Dr. Kevin McAfee VMFA has been in this battlefield of helping others since MAISHAPROJECT.ORG in Kenya came to partner together, where orphans and widows have directly benefited. Over 3 million meals have been served as children are an integral part VMFA's vision and mission. The team's combined artistry has been recognized from domestic and international film festivals with over 200 film festival selections, finalists and wins. Reaching across the aisle with unique stories from over forty countries, the future will be telling stories in the Middle East, China, Russia, Japan and the 10/40 window.
The purpose of VMFA is to market and connect with the "targets groups" for family and faith projects. The organization works with many film production companies in helping promote film projects and digital works across multiple platforms. In return, the social aspects of using films to help others becomes a reality.
PRODUCTION PARTNERS
VMFA is honored to work alongside dozens of production partners who are stewardship and purpose-driven.. Dr. McAfee was recruited in 2000 by Mart Green to help establish another non-profit entitled Bearing Fruit Communications, which is now called EVERY TRIBE being adopted from the organization where Dr. McAfee was CEO.
From these early days came many discussions for the early days in Museum of the Bible. Together, they built the entity Every Tribe Entertainment which produced with 29th Century Fox, END OF THE SPEAR. The Green family, from the Hobby Lobby organization saw a need to share the gospel and made a historic mark in the field of cinema under the combined leadership for almost a decade. VMFA followed up carrying the torch in 2007 for family films. Current film production partners is honored to work alongside award winning for profit companies who work with VMFA. Most notably, Oceania Studios (Under McAfee & Associates with the entire family of McAfee companies) has strategic relationship with the finest filmmakers, musicians and content creators in the world. Partnering with award-winning stories have launched stories from major publishers and cinematic teams. This has birthed special programming with award-winning documentaries where many feature films are birthed under Dr. Kevin McAfee's personal portfolio. Feature films designed for theatrical box office, streaming and direct to home releases are currently planned with Oceania Studios on the horizon include, but are not limited to, the following:
VMFA is currently seeking to find new stories and partner through donor development with ministries to create legacy. Qualified film production companies are also recruited from around the world who are "called" to extend their mission and brand with VMFA. Additionally, the non-profit is working with a team of financial experts to launch each of these stories. into the market. The genre of films are structured to have entrepreneurial success with for profit companies who wish to further this mission.
FINAL WORDS OF WWII - FILM SERIES
The thirteen part film series captures the family members and living legends who share their amazing stories of the greatest generation. The Italian "Theater" launched this series with more film festival awards than any other project with twelve more films need to be made. Former head coach and the late Bobby Bowden brings insights into this epic series.
MAISHA BEA
Beatrice Williamson grew up in Kisumu, Kenya in the slums. Her life took horrible turns during her childhood years and she became a refugee escaping the traumas. Through a series of miracles, she came to settle in Oklahoma and began an enormous ministry sharing food with children in need. She began a school for orphans, built a hospital and created one of the most effective feeding programs. This is a story of faith as she continues to minister to the widows and the orphans feeding ten thousand children a day.
CHURCH INVOLVEMENT
Screenings in churches with ministers are part of the impact VMFA carries in working closely with the local church. This happens due to donors who support domestic and internationally releases. Wonderful executive producers, co-executive producers are have joined this mission, with leading filmmaking teams under this unique umbrella.
Lynn McAfee serves as President of team VMFA and Julie Spencer serves as Secretary for our board of directors and staff.
